The aim of the MathGeAr project is to improve the quality of MINT training in Georgia and Armenia by modernising and improving students’ academic education in mathematics, and to encourage modernisation of mathematics as a subject of study. Using blended learning scenarios and e-learning technologies represents the first step towards modernising mathematical learning content and teaching methods. One focal point of the project is to support teachers and the university staff responsible for e-learning.
The Educational Technology Lab is responsible for designing, implementing and testing e-learning technologies as part of the MathGeAr project. This includes selecting and testing suitable tools for partner universities, developing capacities and skills for technology-based teaching, learning and examination in mathematics studies, and introducing, using and rooting digital education in MINT studies and teaching in Georgia and Armenia. Disseminating educational technologies is also one of EdTec Lab’s tasks.
